Craft & Cork
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 9, 2026
This policy explains what information Craft & Cork (a Delta Echo Oscar company, “we”) collects through craftandcorkguide.com, craftandcorkfestival.com, craftandcork.org and the Craft & Cork app, and how we use and share it.
The short version. Membership is free. We use your email to sign you in and to send you Craft & Cork updates you ask for. Your tasting library is private. We only share your name and email with a brewery or winery when you mark one of their products as tasted at a Craft & Cork Festival and leave “Get updates” switched on, and you can switch it off. We never sell your information.
What we collect
- Membership: your email address, display name, optional home city, short bio and profile photo, the date you joined, and confirmation that you are 21 or older.
- What you add: star ratings, comments, saved beers and wines, your tasting library (dates, places, private scores and notes), recommendations you send us, comments you report and members you block.
- Tickets: if you buy Festival tickets with a member code, our ticketing provider tells us the order reference, number of tickets and email used, so we can mark your code as used and show your tickets in the app.
- Forms: information you send through launch-update sign-ups, maker and partner inquiries and Guide listing requests.
- Technical: a sign-in cookie, your IP address and browser type for security and abuse prevention, and basic server logs.
What’s public and what’s private
Your display name, home city (if you add one), approved profile photo, star ratings and approved comments can be seen by anyone. Comments and photos are reviewed by a moderator before they appear. Your email address, saved list and tasting library are private and are never shown to other members.
How we use it
- To run your membership: signing you in, showing your saves and library, and publishing your ratings and approved comments.
- To moderate content and keep the community safe.
- To give members early access to Festival tickets and member discounts.
- To send emails you asked for, such as sign-in codes, launch updates and member presale notices.
- To improve the Guide, including which beers and wines members enjoy.
Sharing with breweries and wineries
When you mark a product as tasted at a Craft & Cork Festival and leave Get updates from [maker] switched on, we will share your display name, email address, home city (if provided) and the products you tasted with that maker after the Festival, so they can send you news and releases. We share with each maker only the members who tasted that maker’s products at that event.
You choose this for each tasting, and you can turn it off before the Festival ends in your library, or turn the default off in your settings. Once a maker has your details, they handle them under their own privacy policy, and every marketing email they send must let you unsubscribe. Makers agree to use the information only for their own updates and not to sell or pass it on.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run Craft & Cork, including Cloudflare (hosting, database and security), our email delivery provider (sign-in codes and member emails) and Hi.Events (Festival ticketing). They process information only to provide their services to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your membership information while your account is active. If you delete your membership, we delete your profile, ratings, comments, saves and library from our live systems right away; backups are overwritten within 30 days. We may keep limited records where the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile and settings at any time on your account page.
- Download a copy of your data, or delete your membership, from Profile & settings.
- Unsubscribe from Craft & Cork emails using the link in any message.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as to know, correct or delete your information, or to opt out of sharing. Email us to make a request; we won’t treat you differently for using them.
Age
Craft & Cork membership and the Festival are for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and we delete it if we learn we have.
